Not the prettiest photo ever but some of the yummiest jam ever! I am biased because I made it, but my bloke says it's yummy too (ok, he is biased as well). I love to make jam. It is such a simple thing but it always makes me feel clever. I need to feel clever at the moment because I haven't been very productive lately. Being productive is very important to me. I always feel I should be doing something, and not just anything but something important and productive. What with this hot weather, and moving the house around (because its small and we haven't enough space), and not having enough space, and having a baby boy who is wonderful but exhausting I haven't been doing much on my to do list. Enough of a grumble, I think I might go and have a chicken, lettuce and plum jam sandwich!

Up until this morning we were internet-less for a few weeks, which is why I haven't posted in so long. I have been knitting bunches though and have finished this jacket/cardigan for my little boy! It was so fun to make, and I especially loved using the bamboo yarn. Now I feel all enthusiastic about my knitting adventures for 2009.

For Christmas my Grandma gave me this great bamboo yarn and I am now turning it into something for my little boy. I haven't finished the last knitting project I started for the boy, but I am just so good at starting things I couldn't resist. I seem to start a knitting project, work on it consistently until its about three quarters done and then for some reason lose interest, or get distracted by something else. I also sometimes (especially when knitting for myself) knit until its nearly done and then decide I don't like it and frog it! Well, no more. With the new year I have decided to be a new woman and I will be a starter and a finisher this year. I plan to put buttons on those cardigans I knitted for my boy before his was born, knit on the collars of the little jumpers, finish knitting hoods etc.
I have been writing myself a list (it's getting a little long) of goals and plans for 2009. I always find it exciting to plan at the start of a new year and think of all the exciting things I could do in the year. Most of my goals revolve around creating things. I hope that 2009 turns out to be a very creative year!

I have decided not to do any more markets in the next little while, but I have been updating my Etsy shop. It doesn't take the whole day (like a market does) and is much less hot, rainy, dirty etc. This little girl monkey and a few others are up now. Come visit if you like!
