Just like me

Not completely like me but nice little bits. I sing to myself a lot. Even while reading. While my little woman and I were wallowing in a fresh pile of library books I noticed she was reading exactly the way I was - and singing the same song. It was one of those little moments that made me smile. We haven't had too many of those of late. It has been hot and that has been turning me into some kind of horrible monster. I don't do summer very well. I keep thinking I need to buy some new fabric or books to cheer myself up. Maybe I need a new jelly roll or two?

I'm pretty sure EVERYONE needs a new jelly roll or two!

Yes i am sure a new Jelly Roll will help. This weather is disgusting isn't it, roll on autumn I've had enough of summer for this year.

A jelly roll sounds just the ticket. I love to see kids enjoying books and singing along how cute.

That is a really lovely FTF. It's been stinking hot here in Perth, too. I agree with you completely...a jelly roll or two would really help and a book or two as well.

So sweet! Perhaps an ice cream? That's my cure for being peckish in the summer. :)

Do jelly rolls work for winter too? Your story about your little one was so sweet.

LOL - sounds like a good reason to buy fabric!

I talk to myself ...a lot. And i used to twirl my hair when I was deep in thought too. I loved seeing my daughter do some of the things I did as a kid (Talk about genetic imprinting !)

I will confess to not having been the most fabulous grandmother in existence this week . After several tantrums (Little P – not me – although I felt like chucking myself to the ground ) I decided we needed to get out of the house no matter how hot it was!

You definitely need to buy yourself something.

I'm with you...I don't do the hot, humid summers very well either. Right now it's cold and snowy here, but that's A-OK by me. And I think you deserve a jelly roll or two...heck...maybe even a layer cake and some honey buns while you're at it! And what an absolutely adorable picture of your little woman!

Sounds like a jelly roll is just the thing to keep the Mommy Monster (as my daughter terms it) at bay.

ice cream, icecream and icecream!!!

Then COLD drinks and a fan.

Oh a blow up baby pool in the back can do amazing things!
