Some knitting

Some knitting for my baby girl. I am just loving knitting so much right now. It is such a great start/stop project and is so relaxing. I have been knitting quite a bit but am yet to finish something while on holiday. I have lots of things almost there though so hopefully I can get it together!

Melbourne Aquarium

We are having a relaxing holiday in Melbourne at the moment, interspersed with something a bit more exciting. Earlier this week we did the Melbourne Aquarium. The kids loved it! Especially these little dome things you could go in and feel like you were in the 'fishtank'. There were shark eggs and star fish you could touch and we fed fish. So fun!

I have a four year old!

Time is an amazing thing. I feel like my Jonas was a baby only moments ago and yet it feels like he has been here forever! Today is his much anticipated fourth birthday. He has been talking about it for about 8 months. It started off not so well this morning with him being quite upset about it all but he got past that and we have been playing games, stuffing a pinata, and baking castle cakes and dinosaur bikkies! Later we will be whacking the pinata, having a treasure hunt, and maybe even a present!

Banana split with pomegranates

Banana split with pomegranates is a perfect and magical combination. Just saying.

Making messes

This is something my kids like to do. I don't mind as they are always looking to make a mess and this is easy to clean up!

Old ugg boots to slipper shoes!

I have been saving an old worn out pair of ugg boots for a while now with the ambition of turning them into slipper shoes for my kids. They have been hanging around not doing much until yesterday I decided I could do it! I have cut out soles for all three of my kids but started with the eldest (whing-i-est).  They were pretty quick, fun and only look a little silly. The most important thing is the boy like them!

Sewing trousers

Sometimes I feel like I don't do much of anything, but really I do. Recording finishes and things we do on my blog is so good because I can really see accomplishments! Here are some trousers I recently finished for my girl. They have turned out well and even have pockets - the desire of all kids I imagine!
I also finished some overalls for the littlest girl and have more of each almost finished. Sewing machine here I come!
